Range: Occurs from Texas to California, north to Nevada and Utah, south to northern Mexico (Arnett et al. 2002).

Host: A small series (eight adults) were collected in Texas from Psilostrophe gnaphaloides - cudweed paperflower, family Asteraceae (Clark et al. 2004)

Similar Species: Two other species of Pteleon are found only in Mexico (Arnett et al. 2002).
