Black Witch Moth - Ascalapha odorata (Linnaeus, 1758)

BWMs have been recorded in over 90 Texas counties 

They are very common across Texas each year particularly
following the start of the rainy season in Mexico each June.

BWMs were recorded in 80 counties in 2004 alone
