Adult Activity: May to November, but most specimens in the Texas A&M University Insect Collection from June through August.

Larval Hosts:  

Prosopis glandulosa - Mesquite
Acacia berlandieri
- Guajillo 
Carya illinoensis
- Pecan
Ulmus parvifolia
- Chinese elm

Similar Species: There are three species of Lampetis, all occur in the United States (and Texas) (Arnett, et al. 2002).

Lampetis cupreopunctata (Schaeffer) - Cameron and Hidalgo Counties in Texas. Oct. to Dec., most specimens from Oct.
